Dear Valued Lower Valley Chapter SHRM Member,
Welcome to the SHRM Lower Valley Chapter #313 website. We are a non-profit professional organization that provides human resource professionals the opportunity to network, receive training, and enhance twheir knowledge and experience in the complex world of human resource management. We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a worldwide organization supporting Human Resource (HR) professionals located in over 140 countries with over 250,000 members and currently has over 575 chapters affiliated with SHRM National. The Lower Valley Chapter is committed to practicing and promoting the Human Resource (HR) profession as an effective and strategic business partner with our members' respective organizations.
Or Chapter serves as a resource for obtaining excellence in the profession of Human Resource Management. We provide various top quality progressive and innovative programs and services to our members, employers, businesses and the community. We offer a variety of membership benefits including:
* Networking opportunities with local HR professionals,
* Members-only website pages,
* Monthly chapter meetings with relevant topics and presentations, and
* Legislative News and up-to-the-minute legal updates.
The Lower Valley Chapter holds chapter meetings on the second Wednesday of every month. The meetings begin at 11:30 with an opportunity to socialize and network with your fellow HR professionals. Fromm noon-1:00, there is a featured topic and presenter. We hope you will come and join us. Check our website for meeting anouncements which includes program topic and meeting location. Members and non-members are invited to the meetings.
It is an exciting and busy time for HR professionals. Our board is working hard on the programs we have planned for 2012 which will target a wide range of topics regarding all aspects of the profession. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
